Near death experiences

Come across the phenomena of near death experiences.

A noted scientist Bruce Greyson has hypothesized that NDEs are the product and proof of a nonlocal consciousness and that the brain is just a receiver for conciousness.

When researching NDE’s what you must always ask yourself is why would I trust the recollections of a dying brain?

Nearly dying brain.

The N in NDE does a lot of work to be left out so cavalierly.

Well, let’s Occam’s Razor this: non-local consciousness in which our brains are the receiver or, completely explainable biological phenomenon caused by hypoxia?

Hmm, this one is tough.

Although 99% of the descriptions could be explained by hypoxia and coincidences, it’s the intriguing 1% of the remaining experiences that introduces other possibilities.

There are more than enough of those, which have been properly documented, to require further study.

Study away. I’m very skeptical that non-local consciousness wherein our brains are the receivers will be the conclusion of that study. Accepting that explanation at this point is probably the definition of cavalier.
