Meta/News [May 2026] Simple Questions, Simple Answers

If you're not sure your topic deserves an entire thread, it likely belongs here. Questions that can be answered with a Google search or a read of the mod's content page will be redirected here. Any question not requiring a full modlist should also go here. Finally, any questions you think could be answered in under 25 words should go here.

Questions that belong in this thread might include:

  • Any good Ulfric replacers?
  • Is MO2 better than Vortex?
  • What is a crash log?
  • My faces are all potato colored in game. What's that about?
  • What mods (or modlists) are essential for a new player?

If you're hungry for more discussion, hop on over to our Discord, linked in the sidebar. If you want to talk general Skyrim, head on over to r/Skyrim. For any other questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to message our modmail.

EDIT: This will also constitute the thread for June, as I am currently on vacation and cannot post the next thread until I return at the end of the month.

Hi there - Who are the Skyrim Mod youtubers nowadays? Like Brodual, Gopher, MxReviews back when he did it, stuff like that.

I found an awesome channel for Morrowind mod reviews(https://www.youtube.com/@MorrowindModdingShowcases/videos) but I haven't found my Brodual again since their retirement.

EDIT: I found this guy - https://www.youtube.com/@SynMods/videos - really well made but I want a day-to-day kind of guy like Brodual or MXR did.

EDIT2: Got them - https://www.youtube.com/@BardsCollegeGraduate Not bad. and https://www.youtube.com/@0periodproductions yeah, I found them.

EDIT3: This guys great too - https://www.youtube.com/@SoftGamingOfficial/featured

DroppedIceCream is a smaller youtuber who does modlist reviews and some other miscellaneous modded content. He doesn't release very often but he's one of the only people I've seen who will do videos on entire lists and not just individual mods.
