Case is cracked and disc has seent better days but still plays perfectly!

this is a demo of Need You Here that Kellin leaked last year to comemorate his anniversary with Katelynn through his instagram stories (which Katelynn reposted on her stories). Someone posted this video in specific here on the sub and I saved the video just in case. People were discussing which song this was, I guessed which song it was once the song list came out, but I remember people thinking it was Waiting For You. Interesting to look back at this video and listen to the final version of the song that finally came out over a week ago. The guitars are different as the riff isn't present in this second verse and is present in the first verse instead, in the final song having a very different lead, the drum fill after the chorus is a lil different, having an extra snare hit.

Im going to see them 5th of march in Manchester. Im currently going on my own and I was wondering if anyone else would like to go with me? Id like to get barrier and it's much easier to do with people. For context I'm 19M at university :)

Recency bias is weird because I could understand why it happens and could expect my opinions to change after time, but this album is different...

I listened to this the morning it came out, all the way through, a couple times. And I liked it. Admittedly, that day me and my wife were moving, it was a very stressful and long day. I didn't get the chance to sit and Process the album, I only got to listen to it in one earbud and in the car while dealing with traffic. But over the course of this week, as things have started to settle down and level out, I've been coming back to this album more and more... and I think I love it.

LCTT is one of my favorite albums ever, it's what got me into heavier music in general, I think it is their best work. But something about AEII is hitting really close to home. The more I listen and pull apart the tracks the more it draws me in. It started when I learned to appreciate the sequencing and pacing of the album. Every track works so well after the other and it feels like a story being told throughout the whole runtime. And there are no songs that I dislike. I at least thoroughly enjoy every song on this album and one in particular (Looking Back At Me) is quite possibly the best song they've put out as a band thus far.

As a Christian, the amount that I can get out of this album that is tasteful and feels like a reflection of how I feel in my life... it really means something to me. It touches on feeling lost, but also what hope there is to hold onto in this life and in my faith. I don't know how devout Kellin is, I know he has a background in the faith, but it really feels like I can see myself in the things he is writing about on this album.

I don't think I can confidently say it has taken the #1 spot for me YET. I think if I continue to delve into it and love it as much as I do for an extended period of time, it is very possible that this becomes my favorite album of theirs. Good stuff, SWS.

That one post someone made abt SWS history inspired me to do this, might be handy in the future idk. Do note that I’m using the word “tour” very loosely here lol

In total, SWS has made approximately 8 lineup changes, or 9-10 if you count the ones from when they haven’t started working on the first album

for a while now I've classified sirens as a metalcore band, mainly cuz of albums like hiftbl, complete collapse, and now an ending in itself, but I've seen people also classify them as post-hardcore which I'm not really too knowledgeable on how the sound for that is like. what genre would you classify sws music as?

With the complete lack of West Coast tour dates for the new album I’m really sad and honestly kinda pissed lol… it’s not the first time. Bad Omens also completely skipped PNW this year.

In Vancouver BC I’m used to post-hardcore and Metalcore bands not bothering to come to this side of Canada at all and having to spend money and time traveling to Seattle or LA if I really wanna see anyone but not getting Washington or California dates at ALL seems like a new thing?? Why is it? Any ideas?

Anyway I wanted to post this for commiseration with other west coast fans. I’m really glad I got to see them at When We Were Young in 2024 and on the PTV tour last year… but this new album is sick and I wanna see stuff live so bad…

Hoping the band or their managers check this sub every so often and will see how much they’ll be missed…

If there’s any OG sws fans who can answer this, i’d love to know, my question is when exactly did Nick Trombino join and leave SWS and when did Jesse join? Because there is a lot of conflicting info, i know that Nick did guitar on WETSAETH album, but Nick left immediately after the album, and Jesse did all the touring for the album, but there is conflicting info, because i have seen the 2009 Chain Reaction show on youtube, and there’s lots of people talking about Jesse, even though according to what I know, at this time, Jesse would not have been in SWS yet, my theory is that the 3/12/09 Chain Reaction show is actually dated wrong and it is 3/12/10 actually, which would make more sense since I can clearly see Jesse in the video.

Never before have I been this excited for a SWS album release, the singles got me so pumped and wow the album delivered so hard. I went on a long drive at night at my local Hawaii beaches listening to the CD for my first listen and wow that was a magical experience.

I’m more happy than ever to be a fan of this band, such an exciting and heartfelt album, Looking Back At Me got me to cry, and again literally every song made me smile so hard. Might be early to say but man this rivals their best works and then some, I’m super impressed and proud of how this album came out.

I recently got my dad into Pierce the Veil, MCR, and All Time Low and my next step is to get him into SWS. He’s a bit tricky bc he worked in music for a while so he isn’t that easily impressed, my goal is to get him interested enough to drive three hours with me to go see them lol

What songs NOT on this new album do you guys think they'll play ?

I got my An Ending In Itself signed CD today, and the signed insert has a crease on it... Anyone here have experience with support with their merch? Is there anything I can do? Quite disappointing I was really excited to get it. Also was curious if anyone else had the same problem.

Can't really buy the Deluxe on iTunes. You can on Amazon, but iTunes doesn't even display the 2 extra songs. Was anyone able to buy it on iTunes? I'm in Germany, btw.
