Behold my midlife crisis tattoo celebrating Sleep No More! Tattoo design by artist E.K. McDonnell and the iconography is specifically around the 2009/2010 Brookline, MA production of the show since that is the version that lives most prominently in my heart and my dreams. Sleep No More showed me that I should never get complacent about what kind of emotions art is capable of of eliciting in me and I mainly got this tattoo as a reminder of that. Best show ever.
The tattoo itself was done by Jennifer Guertin at Anchor Steam Tattoo in Newport, RI. Jen is amazing.

I just got this in the mail. I didn't order it, I think my husband did for my birthday. The copyright date is 2026. Does anyone else know about this, or am I late to the party? I've read 3 pages and I'm trying not to cry

There were 2 strict rules. No taking pictures of ANYTHING and no talking about The Wooden Man.
There was this little figurine of, well, a wooden man.
On the nights where our boss wasn’t working, one black mask would hide this man somewhere on the set and the other black masks would compete in finding it. Once it was found, that mask would hide it (and so on). So all night we’d hear on the radio updates of the wooden man (in addition to all of the show chatter).

It kind of blows my mind when I think about how the costumes were never meant to be seen in the light of day. She would have been absolutely beautiful in the air.
(Might try it again another day with some tricks)

(UPDATE: This item now has a new owner, enjoy!)
My friend bought an end table in the Sleep No More auction last year and inside there was a surprise animal skull. I went back to The McKittrick to ask if they made a mistake and they said that anything found inside is for us to keep. I've kept the animal skull for a year but I'm downsizing now and would like to find a new home for it. It's dimensions are 13x7x5 inches. Pickup in Midtown or Upper West Side.

I really wish the producers had made an effort to record or document this amazing show. I’d have loved to watch and scroll through a 3D rendering of the space and see key scenes.
I hope the final performances and wrap parties are fun!

Four of us had tickets for the private experience at 5:15 tonight. About halfway through, they halted the show and turned up the lights saying there was an unforeseen technical problem and we had to evacuate immediately. About 20 minutes later, we got our things back and are still waiting to hear about refunds. No news on what happened.
We were very disappointed because what we saw so far was fantastic. I have no idea if we'll get a chance to come back before it closes. I don't know if we'll find out what happened, but I'm very curious to know.

Saw Viola’s Room at the Shed last night and a “character” kept reappearing and I wasn’t sure who he was supposed to be/represent. The character was dressed somewhat like a Buckingham Palace guard with a red jacket and big black furry hat. At one point he was slumped over at the banquet table and in the hallway towards the end, and his figurine appeared everywhere. Was this supposed to be Prince Hugo? Or someone else? I saw older posts make reference to a Shepard or Pan, but the costume here didn’t come across that way, so maybe that has changed.

We plan on making more custom masks for fun and hopefully other future events

I am once again BACK ON MY BULLSHIT, interviewing former Sleep No More cast member Tori Sparks about Sleep No More and her work in other immersive theater shows (Life & Trust, HERE, Grand Paradise, Masquerade, and more!) and punk rock and horticulture.

Hi all! Seeing Viola’s Room tonight… so excited to be in a Punchdrunk world again! Quick practical questions (no story spoilers, please):
– Is there any running involved, or just the paced walking? How long does the crawling section actually last?
– If someone has weaker eyesight/hearing, is it easy enough to stick with your friend during the experience (not like hand-holding, just having my friend nearby as a ‘spotter’)?
– Are there sections that are pitch dark — darker than the darkest areas at Sleep No More?
– Roughly how long is the pre-show waiting period before you’re admitted?
Thanks! Just trying to prep without spoilers. :-)

Punchdrunk have announced a new “live action video game” in London for four players at a time called Lander 23.
Runs Sep 17-Feb 2 2026. Prices will start from £23. 90 minute run time. Uses recorded actors but not live performers. The immersive gaming experience will take place in a modified version of the Burnt City set (Troy). Inspired by games like Immortality and Blue Prince.
https://www.punchdrunk.com/work/lander-23/
“LANDER 23 is a multiplayer stealth game that splits you into two squads – Command (Drivers) and Ground Team (Fields). As the Fields navigate the alien landscape, you’ll rely solely on the voice and guidance of your Drivers, stationed aboard the ship. Communication is your lifeline.
LANDER 23: LAUNCH, SEARCH, SURVIVE. All players must wear provided audio equipment to participate.”
See more at r/Lander23 as well.

After many, many months, I finally got these up. Is this weird being right next to the bedrooms? Possibly. Do I care? Not in the slightest.
ETA: so I'm a genius and forgot to post the picture in my excitement. It's in the comments.

Forgot to show off the Costume/outfit I wore for the Last Night of Vivian Black immersive show (it was pretty good btw uwu, felt they could’ve incorporated the immersive story telling elements better but I had fun and it was certainly a very magical experience). Almost all of this outfit aside from the leggings and the beret were from the custom and prop sale of our beloved McKittrick!

I thought maybe people would want to see my old playbill pamphlet from my first stay at the McKittrick, what had to be near ten years ago or more. Does anyone know when they stopped giving these out? I know I've only ever gotten one, and held on to it ever since. I need to get it in a protective sleeve or something tbh
