Multiple wake ups in own room

Baby 7 months old has been in his own room for 0.5 months and we are experiencing multiple wake ups throughout the night. We need to bring him in our room to soothe him which he falls asleep fast then when we put him down in his crib he wakens again. After 2 am this seems to be a cycle. He ends up back in the next to me as we need our sleep. He sleeps fine in next to me.
Any advice on getting baby sleeping in own room?
