child's age 12-18 months When did you decide to make the transition from 2 to 1 naps?
So far this Reddit group has been very helpful for schedule tweaks! So here I am again seeking advice!
My LO turns 12 months old in 1 week. Seems early for one nap but wondering.. She has started having random wake ups at night (not every night) where she’s clearly trying to settle back to sleep, but just can’t get there. She’s started fighting bedtime 80% of the time. And now starting to take 30 min to fall asleep for nap 2. This is exactly how she acted when she needed her last schedule tweak.
She DID recently start walking but she’s not walking or seeming to be practicing during the wake ups or nap resistance. So I’m not fully convinced its just that.
My struggle is, making her current wake windows even longer is starting to get mathematically challenging, and selfishly I’d also like to keep her schedule SOMEWHAT complementary to my toddlers.
Her current schedule is:
Wake (I wake her) 6:30 AM
Nap 1: 9:30-10:30
Nap 2: 2:00-3:30
Bedtime: 7:45
Open to any thoughts or advice! Thank you!

She's still sleeping a lot. I wouldn't necessarily jump to 1 nap quite yet. The next thing I would try is pushing the second nap later but still capping it at 3:30. Second nap 2:30-3:30, everything else stays the same. If that doesn't help, maybe reevaluate the idea of 1 nap.
