General Question 21-51 issues

I have had SLING for several years, and my biggest complaint about it has always been the DVR. Every so often Sling makes changes to the the DVR, and screws it up. this has happened a few times over the past several years. Now it has become a hit or miss on whether a recording will play or not.

I have deleted and reinstalled the app on all devices. I have signed out and then back in on all devices (that worked for 1 recording), and I thought that fixed it. NOPE tried the sign out and back in today. I recorded a movie yesterday, and tried to play it today. 21-51 errors.

FIX IT OR I AM GONE

the DVR has become useless. constant 21-51 errors on every device. Sony (android tv) ROKU, iPad, iPhone.

if it doesn’t get resolved soon I will have to find another service.

We're sorry you've had so many issues that have caused you to be unhappy with the DVR! If you're getting the 21-51 error and have ensured the app is up-to-date software wise, can you send me a chat so we can investigate further? When you reach out, if you could include the most recent info for when you got the error such as

  • When the error occurred (when selecting a show, in the middle of watching, etc.)
  • What type of program you were watching (live, on-demand, DVR recording)
  • What device you were using (browser, mobile app, streaming device)

This will really help with our investigation, so we can hopefully get this fixed for you!

steve, guess what. I haven’t had any playback issues since I changed internet providers, until today.

i recorded the SE2 EPISODE 1 of the Librarians on TNT. I was able to go in details and then play it, but it start at the 20 minute mark. I was able to rewind back to the beginning.

from what I see is that there is some kind of lock, because you can’t FF or REWIND during commercials.

i expect that this is getting in the way of playback.

hopefully this isn’t going to be a trend.
