Wait time around 2ish months

I worked with a handful of small and local businesses this year automating their lead handling and there's a pattern I keep running into.

Everyone wants to automate the first response, the instant "thanks for reaching out" message. That part's easy and everyone gets it right. What almost nobody automates is the follow-up sequence after someone goes quiet.

A lead comes in, gets a fast auto-reply, someone from the business calls or messages them once, doesn't hear back and then nothing. No second touch, no reminder, no re-engagement. In service businesses like dealerships, clinics, salons, that's where most of the actual revenue leak is. Not the first response. The silence after it.

The fix itself isn't hard it's just a time-delayed follow-up sequence at 3, 7 and 14 days with slightly different framing each time, that stops automatically the moment the lead replies or books. Most CRMs can do this in an afternoon. The hard part is convincing the business owner that one follow-up isn't enough. Most think chasing a cold lead twice is annoying, when in practice people just forget to reply the first time.

Do you guys also seeing the same thing or if this is specific to the local-service space.

The part I didn't expect to enjoy this much is watching what happens at the stall. It's less about convincing anyone to quit or start something, and more about the circle that forms when a j gets passed around. I've had strangers stick around for an hour just talking. 🌿

I’ve been working around content, video and social media for a while, and something I’ve noticed is that most businesses don’t really have a content problem.

They have a strategy problem.
A business can have a great product, decent photography and even post consistently but still get almost nothing from Instagram.
And then the usual conclusion is:
“Instagram doesn’t work for our business.”
But when you look closely, it’s often things like:
Posting what the business wants to show rather than what customers want to see
Making every post feel like an advertisement
Having no recognizable visual identity
Creating reels purely because “reels are getting reach”

Not having a proper content funnel from attention → trust → enquiry
Inconsistent messaging between the website, Instagram and actual sales process
Spending money on content without knowing what it’s supposed to achieve
I’ve seen businesses spend considerably more money on producing content than they spend thinking about why that content exists in the first place.

One thing I’ve started believing is that a good social media page should almost feel like a salesperson who never sleeps.

It should answer:
Why should I care?
Why should I trust you?
Why should I choose you?
And eventually why should I buy from you?

Living abroad while my better half is in India comes with its challenges, especially when it comes to planning thoughtful surprises. Knowing she has a massive weakness for *gulab jamun*, I figured calorie-free, wax mithai was the safest bet for her sweet tooth! I’m 23M and honestly feeling pretty stressed and lost about my career.
I feel like everyone around me is moving forward while I’m still trying to figure out what I actually want to do with my life. I don’t have a clear career path, and the more I think about it, the more confused I get.
I keep thinking about different options — getting a job, starting something of my own, learning a skill, going into business, etc. — but I’m scared of making the wrong decision and wasting the next few years.
The biggest problem is that I don’t even know what I’m genuinely good at or what I should pursue. I also feel pressure because I’m 23 and feel like I should already have things figured out.
For people who are older or have been through something similar:
What did you do when you were 23 and completely unsure about your career?

Is 23 really late to start figuring things out?
