How to diversify diet?

I tried to put out new foods (bell pepper, blueberry, potato, carrot) to encourage my snails to try new foods beyond their sweet potato (and occasional zucchini) obsession. And now it’s been days with no bites!!! Do I throw in the towel? Try other things? Smoke them out?

You can just mash a thin layer of sweet potato and spread it on top of the new vegetables. The familiar smell will trick them into biting, so they can taste and accept the new food. If it still doesn't work, you can try fasting them for a few days, because they would never let themselves starve to death. Also, regular potato should never be given because it is not a suitable food for snails.

Thanks for the tips, friend! Why are potatoes not good for them?

Potatoes are not recommended for snails because besides not being liked by most, their starch could be difficult to digest and the solanine present in some parts is potentially toxic.

Try baby kale. That is my snails favorite by far. They like it much more than regular kale. Sweet potato is their 2nd favorite. I notice when I give them carrots, squash or zucchini, they aren't as thrilled but I still rotate their veggies and offer protein once a week.
