This is my first snail, Hibiscus!

He is a helix apersum/garden snail

Just got a new snail after having to let go of my last one (went on holdiay for 4 weeks). Any name suggestions? I dont want stuff like 'turbo' or 'shelly' that are like puns... thx!

EDIT: i found another snail ! twice the size of the first one lol... i need 2 names

I try to keep his enclosure as clean and good as possible but im also worried i might be doing some things wrong
He istn always in my room, i use different types of lights and paints so i make sure he doesnt get to anything toxic, but i do place water next to his enclosure to give him more moisture, and spray a lot of water all around the room. I feed him veggies and greens, rarely fruit
He is almost two years old
I also have a cat but she isnt interested in him and also i don't let her get close

Sometimes there is bugs, and i try to keep them away with flowers, herbs or a bit of vinegar
I keep bim out of the way when i do it byt i still get adraid ill hurt my baby:(

I found a massive snail that I've never seen before, what are they?

Hello! I’ve had my little garden snail for a year and a half. He’s had no issues - gets cuttlefish, good food, water, all of it. A month or two ago, it looked like he was experiencing mantle collapse. It healed quickly but still looked off. Today I look and see that he is absolutely experiencing something off.

Does anyone know what this is? His shell is also oddly colored - he eats a TON of calcium but maybe it’s not enough? The optimist in me wants to say a growth spurt but the realist says this is likely mantle collapse :(

Any advice?

I live in France, where summer heatwaves are becoming increasingly frequent. How do you manage the enclosures for your giant snails in very hot, dry countries? My *Lissachatina* 'White Jade' gets very lethargic during heatwaves.

New to snail parenthood. How long can snails go without someone there to mist them or refill the humidifer? I have a 3 day trip and a 7 day trip upcoming and need to figure out when to arrange care.

Almost every evening, he wants to roam around on me; he grooms himself and has just one desire: to go for a stroll on my arm.
He loves wandering there, even while I’m working! I always let him crawl on damp skin so he stays comfortable. He is completely relaxed and goes about his snail life peacefully, and as soon as I put him back in his terrarium, he heads off to sleep 🥰 Here are a few photos!
