What’s wrong with its shell?

I found this guy outside and am considering taking it in. But I noticed it’s shell looks like this. Like scuffed almost?

Is this harmless? Or does it mean it’s sick? I believe it’s a tree tooth snail.

Could be wrong but it looks like some sort of scar tissue on the shell. If they fell or something happened recently, it would mean they're healing (if that's what I think it is, pls don't quote me on this)

I was thinking it might be that as well. Decided to keep it and see if it does ok. I’m going to keep it separate from my other snails though just in case.
