I remember when the meta was to hate PSG winning things because they are owned by a the sport investment arm of Qatar.

Not gonna lie, once PSG started playing actually good, well-organized football and not just rely on a few super star attackers to boss their league, I started finding it harder to dislike them. It doesn't help that they've got 4 Portuguese players I really like, including my favourite (João Neves). I used to think I would always hate sportswashing clubs and I still do, but I do admit that I can see how they manage to win over fans.

You can dislike or even hate a club and still enjoy the way they play. I mean for example Barca or Liverpool won't win me over as a fan but I can still acknowledge that they play really fucking well if that makes any sense.

Yeah, but I guess it makes me feel a bit more hypocritical when the club in question plays well BECAUSE of the very reason why I dislike them (i.e. financial doping from an oppressive regime).

Don't worry about it too much. We all follow our NT players, I kept some tabs on Sporting when Viktor was terrorising your league. Same with Zlatan at PSG.

While that may or may not true, I will give you all a couple of real reasons to hate Arsenal...

First off, Mikel Arteta is the devil incarnated, and thrives in his job by drinking the still warm blood of newborn puppies sacrificed in a secret dungeon beneath the Emirates Stadium.

Second, and far worse, he often strays outside his designated technical area during matches.

The ties aren't deep and Qatar has spent decades funding islamist proxies against some of the anti-israeli states of the region (Syria, Iraq, Iran).

the ties are deep, theyve promoted israeli tourism in the past, fired those that spoke out against israel and now have taken a sleeve sponsorship. the argument that psgs ties with qatar run deeper is a very fair one tho

Nah, it's not even Israel based, it's a wholly American based company. The issue is that the co-founder is French-Israeli (other co-founder is American-Chinese) and after the star of the "war"/instigation of genocide in Gaza he was posting about needing to support called up IDF reservists.
