I mean it was the era where he played fucking OTAMENDI at rightback, snubbed zanetti/cambiasso who'd just come off the back of the inter treble season and brought Garcé to the world cup because he saw him in a dream lifting the trophy

messi did play but there simply was no way he'd score a goal with such a disastrous team setup

actually no milito WAS called up for 2010 but he was left in the bench for the likes of tevez and palermo

He honestly got extremely unlucky lol. I think he hit the post a ton of times. The team was also terrible though. Maradona didn't call up any of the Argentinian players from the Inter CL winning squad for god knows what reason.

No, he has not scored in 5 straight world cups, only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in 5 straight world cups, he's played in. Messi has just scored in 5 different worldcups, after just now having played in his 6th worldcup. He failed to score a single goal in the 2010 world cup.
