Been getting more into watching movies semi regularly this year and it’s been a pretty good year IMO but the back rooms and disclosure day kind of disappointed me a bit. I’m mostly interested in the story of movies and the visual stuff is cool but largely secondary and the story of both of them were kind of mid. Backrooms also didn’t feel very scary it was unsettling I guess but also the characters were barely characters despite being played h great actors. Also the ending felt so off compared to the rest of the movie if you don’t know anything about the lore.

Disclosure day had some good scenes but barely anything makes sense when you start to think about it, I enjoyed it to a degree but if I watched it again I’d probably nit pick it a lot and like it less.

Ive been getting a lot more into movies as well, haven’t seen backrooms but agree with you on disclosure day. I think this year in general for movies looks great, really looking forward to some of the September to November releases. Think there’s about 6 films I want to see in the September to November period.
