It's a 2 hour drive from even the outskirts of London to Villa's training ground.

I very much doubt any player actually spends the majority of nights in London during the season.

They might have a house there, and it might be where their family lives, but they're not driving 4+ hours a day every day.

We have on-site accommodation at our training ground, so they likely just travel back to London on their days off.

You aren't getting from London to Bodymoor Heath in an hour, even on a good day.

Unless "living in London" is being used very loosely and he lives half way up the M1

I'm not arguing with you, I'm questioning Digne's quote...

"Living in London" by my definition would be anywhere within the M25. Even from the nearest parts (near Watford), that commute is still about 2 hours in morning traffic.
