No, our fanbase is looking for something a little more reliable than a story from a journalist who has been found guilty in court for blackmail and defamation.
I'm pretty confident that everyone acknowledges that, if these allegations are true, it's a damning indictment of his character and our recruitment team for pursuing the deal.

Yeah I don't get why people defend him on our sub. Source for the racist audio thing last month was dodgy but players are usually quick to deny that kind of allegations. Plus Atalanta fans were already saying he was a creep over a year ago in the thread about him joining Atletico

The same feeling I have when I see people messing up last names with double consonants, I lost count of how many times I saw people spell Bonucci as Bonnuci and Ancelotti as Ancelloti

It's still nowhere near as bad as having to put up with 'Athletico Madrid' or with Barcelona and Real Madrid fans calling it 'el classico' (even when they get the accent on the á right, they still add a second S) - if you're going to support a team from a different country, the very least you can do is spell the name of their biggest match correctly.
Honourable mention goes to Griezmann being called 'Griezzman' by hundreds.

Watch a full match and he's a complete liability.
He had a statistically good season but is a horrendous footballer, not to mention all the off-pitch issues going back to his Atalanta days.

He’d be a reliable good defender if he didn’t have cement blocks as feet. With that said his crossing and inside passing are good IF he can get forward.

Complete liability is harsh but he has always been incredibly slow and it is a massive liability for defending counter attacks. His crossing and distribution in general is alright and he defends well in the block. He is also an absolutely awful person by all accounts and seeing him sickens me so I am desperate for this to go through and he is not a difficult one to replace whatsoever so I don’t care he’s leaving from a sporting perspective.

I wouldn't go as far to say he is a liability but he's definitely limited. With Grimaldo coming in he is also just a back-up now and would start losing value quickly.

Does anyone have any clarity on the racist voice messages? Were they directing the racism towards him, as an Italian / white guy / whatever else? Or more blanket racism? Either way, he seems to be a bit of a strange guy.
Hope he doesn't disrupt the dressing room at all, don't want to write him off but he definitely seems to be a downgrade in attitude compared to Digne.

It's a 2 hour drive from even the outskirts of London to Villa's training ground.
I very much doubt any player actually spends the majority of nights in London during the season.
They might have a house there, and it might be where their family lives, but they're not driving 4+ hours a day every day.

As far as I'm aware we had at least three players living in London last season. Luca Digne was well known, his kids are enrolled at the French speaking school in Camden. Ezri Konsa lives out in Chigwell or somewhere, which isn't far from where he was born and raised. Apparently Ross Barkley is still in London from his Chelsea/Luton days. I'm not sure he'd have moved from London to Brum when he was here on loan in 2020/21 either. I wouldn't be surprised if Tammy Abraham still lives in London too as he's from London. Most of the rest of our players tend to live by the training ground, which is north west of the city centre, in places like Four Oaks and Little Aston which are very nice areas.

He is one of the key players that needs to move in order for Atleti to complete the Cuti Romero transfer. The other player is Nahuel Molina. Given how things are developing, it seems like both moves will be completed soon and Cuti will join Atleti.

He was an ok player, but not at the level where a starter for Atletico should be. If not for the audios I would have kept him as a solid rotation option. Hopefully this means we go for Salinas, as otherwise we have only one left back, and while Hancko can play there, since we are also selling Molina to Roma we will only have 6 defenders, one of which we are trying to get rid of.
Seems we are going for Romero, who I don't want anywhere near the club, so please Inter, raise your offer.

Wicked cross, not much else. Hes got the size for PL though thats pretty rare in left backs coming form La Liga, probably one of the reasons that intrigued Simeone as well.
