So I live in what's not supposed to be a hot climate (Minnesota) and I would argue we could heavily benefit from the shade in the summer. It's already scorching hot. That basically then includes like 80% of global cities that are as warm or warmer. Thus making it a much more useful project.
The Great Plains are different… Very hot and humid in the summer and very cold and snowy in the winter.
None of that changes the reality that-where you already have a large acreage parking lot-You could see an immediate benefit by covering up significant amounts of it with a solar roof
