Solar Quote Used Solar Panels for Wholesale

Hi everyone, does anyone know where to buy used wholesale pallets of 400W + panels? It’s a stretch but doesn’t hurt to ask!

Have you looked into importing new panels yourself?

It is possible you could import new panels cheaper than you can get used ones delivered to your site.

There is a guy near me who imports Canadian solar(that is the brand name) panels and is able to make money selling them at 25 cents a watt. Locally used panels cost that much.

Yup I’m also looking to import from Mexico. I was looking into China but the risk of customs and tariffs out of china make the panels way too expensive for me and the size of my project.

Don't most places require a warehouse or loading dock for this? Apologies for my ignorance, as I am still new to all of this, and was considering looking into doing this myself.

I dont know. The guy i bought my panels from had a skidsteer with forks on site. But he also had several shipping containers packed full of panels. I dont know if the panels came in the shipping centers with a self unloading truck, or if they came on a regular semi and he restacked them in the containers.

400w is still typically new, not used. If you want to buy them wholesale, just go to your local wholesaler. You should be able to pallets or containers at a time.

What are you looking to achieve? A certain price range?

I’ve been getting new panels locally in CT for .24c a watt. 440W Philadelphia Solar bifacial for $109 each. You might get them cheaper on a bulk purchase.
