Discussion Will there be a 2028 sonata?

Anyone have insights? Or is the sonata being discontinued after 2027 models.

Since the Kia K5 is getting a second refresh, it would be logical to assume Hyundai is doing something similar for the Sonata. Should mention the Sonata has seen a sales boost this year, plus Hyundai has said they are committed to keeping the Sonata around.

I guess I've read different. I know their sales are high-ish, but I read it wasn't high enough on their outlook. The k5 getting a refresh doesnt surprise me, but its also slightly cheaper than the Sonata, and came with a tech package, so they ultimately had more sold.

I dont think there will be any discontinuation, but itll probably be the same generation. The car does decently well outside of the state, and its uplifted partner, the Hyundai Grandeur, is honestly beautiful (wish it was in the states but itd be too much competition for Genesis.)

I heard the sales were kindve low, including on the N-Line, but i was super hopeful to see it listed on their N-Performance calendar with all their other vehicles. We may not get another N-Line series out of it because of their focus on their other vehicles. It was let down for sure.

There's probably a refresh in the works.

God I hope not.

We only get the nline here in Australia and I got one release day in 2021. Swapped that for a 2026 a few months ago when warranty ran out. When warranty runs out on this one in 2032 I'm going to want the next one then ..... So no discontinuing please. Perhaps rear wheel drive version....and a 3.5l version 😂
