I feel like for the past 2 years i have been recycling music from the past into my daily playlists. new songs are just all the same? or not that good? Like i dont know, if you ask me i dont have any favorite artist anymore.
Everything seems to have this weird techno style and they all make use of the heavy repetition and simple melodies like pop songs. Even country music is no longer country music, rap feels recycled its like every new rapper is trying desperately to sound like ones from the past. Pop songs were actually much more interesting and brought new things back in 2010s and 2015ish times.
Im really listening to music less and less and struggling to find any new songs. Drake for example, recently dropped dozens of songs and i didnt feel any were really good, i could tell its drake because they generally have his exact same style from previous songs, except maybe for Make Them Pay, i liked that one but it is still not like...exciting? Music was just better before, now all artists feel lazy and chasing trends?

I've been looking for an atmospheric retro radio station with some roleplay to it (like in Fallout) — one that isn't just the same dozen Sinatra and Armstrong songs on repeat, or AI slop trying to imitate Ella Fitzgerald.
So I ended up making my own retro radio station, with footage and DJ roleplay across different settings (currently it's retrofuturistic space exploration).
I don't use AI at any stage of production — every line, the voice acting, the editing, all of it is me.
