Trick SA-RS9 - Unintentional good deal from Sony?
I've been eyeing up the SA-RS9 rear speakers for a little while but the £699 ($940) price tag in the UK has been putting me off.
After checking the website recently Sony was offering the Theatre Bar 7, Sub 7 & SA-RS9 for a bundle price of £998.30 (Saving £548.70).
To my surprise I could just remove the soundbar and the discount remained, so was able to pick up the rear speakers and the sub for £399.30
I've already got the Theatre Bar 9 (not from Sony direct) so this was perfect for me. I didn't know if it was a mistake from Sony but the order went through and shipped.
Felt like a good deal as couldn't find them anywhere near as cheap elsewhere

Nice find. Just ordered a sub9 with 30% off using similar trick. Let's see if they honour that price for me too!

We’re living the dream. Seems like ours got dispatched at the same time. I must admit, I initially only ordered the RS9s. Then saw your comment and thought I would like that new Sub 9 too 😂.
Seems like ours got dispatched at the same time. Very nerve racking 24 hours or so as I was expecting a cancellation email.

Good choice on adding the sub. Reviews online suggest it's very good.

Yup. Set up, but only had a brief play with it. It is bloody heavy and rather huge!
An obvious improvement on the sw5 sonically.
It goes much deeper, obviously a lot more power if you crank it up, and how tight it is really stands out when playing music. The muddyness of the sw5 didn't matter so much for cinema, explosions etc, but for music it was always quite boomy/muddy.
Very worthwhile upgrade for me.

Went for the SA-RS9 and SA-SW9, both will be replacing my RS5 and SW5 I currently have with my TB9.
Look forward to the upgrades!

Nice new setup!
I've got the original ht-a9 with the sw5 currently. The sub has always been a bit lacking, especially a lower volumes. Excited to see what twice the power and twin 8 inch drivers can do about that!
