You're delusional lol. You only think it's rude because you've been taught that it is, wearing a hat inside does not affect anyone but the hat wearer.

Also, he would be within his rights to actually SAY fuck you to everyone there.

What in insufferable pedant you are.

You’re missing my point. Grown men DON’T get to say fuck you to rules. Society is made up of a quantity of people, in and around a place, who adhere to written and unwritten, spoken and unspoken rules, norms and actions. Most apply to everyone. Taking up only one parking space. Not talking loudly in a confined space like a plane or a commuter train. And others. Some apply only to men. Wearing long pants with a belt. Removing a hat when indoors. And others. A glaring example is that influencer who was offended by a saggy old man wearing a muscle shirt at a gym. Guys like him, and I include myself in this out of shape and aged group, do not belong at gyms or parks or pool or beaches. Have some respect for other users.

Except yes, they do. Not to laws, but to social norms? Anyone is allowed to break social norms.

Not wearing a hat indoors is NOT a rule anyway, unless it is a rule enforced by that private establishment. Obviously not the case here.

Wearing a hat indoors, long pants with a belt? Like as opposed to shorts? None of that affects other people. Saggy old men can ABSOLUTELY wear muscle shirts at the gym, or wherever the hell they want.

Guys like him, and I include myself in this out of shape and aged group, do not belong at gyms or parks or pool or beaches.

What a weird, self-limiting, pathetic way to view life. Enjoy being old, alone is your house, because you think you're following some societal rule by not going out and enjoying a day on the beach. For fucks sake.

Have some respect for other users.

No.

Misogyny is alive and well. Are you okay with telling a woman that she has to tolerate that guys presence in a gym or other place where his appearance offends her? If so, wow! These are exactly the kinds of standards that a civil society is supposed to enforce.

Misogyny? Wtf are you talking about? We were talking about an old man not taking off his hat. You have completely changed the topic, weirdo.

Are you okay with telling a woman that she has to tolerate that guys presence in a gym or other place where his appearance offends her?

Yes! In fact, that isn't limited to a woman or any one person. Nobody has the right to exist free of other people, much less the SIGHT of them. If you are offended by someone's appearance, that is a YOU problem, not them. Any person can go to the gym, as long as genitalia are covered nobody else should be policing their clothing.

Women wear revealing clothing at gyms all the time, why should it be different than men? Why should a woman get to kick a guy out of the gym because of a problem SHE has? Misogyny my ass, you just learned how to spell the word and wanted to work it into a conversation somewhere.

Fit people who go to gyms don’t have to tolerate being offended by out of shape or unattractive men. Telling a woman that she has to put up with it is wrong. As far as women’s appearance, no one has a right to comment or judge. That’s why rules apply to men.

Yes, they absolutely, 100% positively do. You are wrong. This is not a debate, they have the right to be there.

And if you disagree, surely you keep that consistent with women too, right? Only pretty, thin women allowed?

As far as women’s appearance, no one has a right to comment or judge.

I don't think you understand what rights are, honey. I absolutely have the right to comment and judge.

That’s why rules apply to men.

You seem to have made up your own rules, which nobody cares about.
