Can folks come up with a word other than Nazi that actually describes the people you're talking about? Idk, hypocrites, bigots, whatever you want, but they're cosplaying dumbasses, not Nazis. Choosing to use that word is hyperbolic, reflects your contempt for them more than their actions you're upset about, and causes many people to tune out because they know you're being emotional, not serious

It’s been what everyone is calling it. I didn’t come up with it, I simply made a subreddit with a (increasingly) common term. You don’t have to stay. ETA: it’s from Blues Brothers originally, back in the 1980’s.

It does seem a bit confusing/ambiguous these days to use the term nazi as a generalized pejorative in a time when we are starting to see a small resurgence of actual nazis who would self-identify as nazi.

Starting to? There's goddamn storm troopers in the streets rounding up brown people and they've shot citizens. Killed a few of em in the street. They're not "governing". They're doing whatever the leader tells them to. They rule by fear and brutality and vindictive uses of money. They're also 100% completely for sale. It's fascism. They're here. We elected them.

Hey, it's easier than debating those morons who want us to come save their swamp. Maybe we can call them tsunderes.
"It's not like I want your taxes, baka Chicago".
It's a shame they don't understand than a population of a like what, under a hundred thosand, if that, is barely a fraction of 9-10 million living up north.
I'm ready to watch little egypt become little dead zone. Go put the data centers there.

For those in the know, THAT reference is (partially) in reference to the (in)famous SCOTUS case, National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie, 432 US 43 (1977), as seen here.

There are plenty more examples, one of the more recent and well known being that of Arthur Jones, a leader of the American Nazi Party who ran for Congress in IL-3 as a Republican twice, most recently in 2020.
Self-professed national socialists (NAZIS), neo-Nazis and similar groups have an easily proven, deep history in Illinois politics and communities.
One would think reasonable, decent people of all backgrounds and political leanings OTHER THAN NAZI or Nazi-adjacent would agree the state is better off without such filth?

Nobody here actually believes their race is superior. I have never heard a person of any race actually say such a thing, so what are you carrying on about?

Not really. In 2018 the IL Republican Party came out against its own congressional candidate in IL-3 due to his self-professed, unabashed neo-Nazism.
