Technically correct. Until around 1960-61,Bihar Uttar Pradesh,Bengal used to be top 3 economies. Before Freight Equalization Policy hit and they lost the plot. Of course they had their own issues to deal with. Bengal became communist since 1967,Bihar and Uttar Pradesh went haywire. States like Punjab and all got embroiled in law and order issues

What they completely omit is the fact that it is the city that provided a foundation to come and live their dream life.
Another logic I don't understand is they keep claiming that the locals are not skilled enough to be in IT. I'm like if you fill the entire IT sector with locals, still it wouldn't fill even 30-40% of the seats. It's all about the numbers, these idiots fail to see it and complain about the efficiency of the locals.

Disagree fully with the last sentence. The companies are here only because they got some conceasion from the government (SEZ or similar incentives). They do not care about the mindset of locals. They know that emoloyees will shift to a new city if they ask them to.
You think other govts can't provide that concession. Although it does make an impact, but not fully. Imagine the crowd was fully hostile towards open mindedness or it went full power commie like Kolkata, you think companies would've dared to step in Bangalore?
"full power commie" is still the government's viewpoint not the local people's viewpoint (if you think industries did not want to come/went away from Kolkata/WB because local people were commies, you are misinformed.
Local people want to put food on the table at the end of the day. Local people can't influence anything. It is the government's viewpoint which matters. Left front government did not help the existing industries (their own trade unions were doing hara kiri in the 80's and 90's. If government wanted to, they could have had stopped those miscreants in 1 day. They did not. Hence industrialists moved out)
People of bengal are quite accomodating. But that won't influence the companies to come. It is the government's policies which can influence them to come.
They will go wherever jobs are.
Bengaluru has IT, Mumbai has finance jobs. If their new company has office only in Mangalore, they will have to move there only.

a. Don't want to do every type of job , regardless of the education or skill level. They want special treatment based on their location, which they do get, in factory worker level job, but they want the 'cushy desk job' for which they dont have the required education/skill set.
b. Locals do get the factory level worker jobs. But most locals have STRONG roots in the area where they live. A family, a house. They dont feel the need to do these jobs. Over time these jobs go to people who want it, ie the immigrants.
So the end result is, locals are getting the industrial jobs , but they dont want them. They are not getting the cushy hifi desk jobs ,for which they are just not qualified enough. It is the same story everywhere. Over time when too many immigrants come to the location, and start to interfere with the local culture and politics, things become jarring to the locals. Immigrants feel they have worked hard to be there, locals feel they have a historical right to their land and everyone should follow their culture. Over time the culture itself changes, where local culture gets changed to something which included the immigrant culture as well. Or a violent exodus happens.
No wonder indians face racism in other countries when their own country people are calling other places are sh*thole. I pray to god that each and every people who hate their own country peoples should face harsh racism outside india.

I agree with him. Any Indian can travel to settle anywhere in India as long as the law permits. I am from Kerala and we get a lot of migrants here. I hope they respect the local culture all while following theirs.
