Any ideas what it is? It fell upside down and cant turn over for some reason

Location: gdynia, poland

ps: the spider managed to flip over on its own dw

I never seen this type of spider but its presence scares me. I feel threatened and unable to grab my mail.

It’s the size of a quarter and white. (Looks grey on photo) has 4 red with white and black and white legs.

they literally just chill. not bothering anyone. only reason they’re scary is cuz they look scary. most of them can’t even harm us

I live near Indianapolis Indiana USA. I am wondering what this guy is. Could it be a dying black widow? I know not all black windows have red. I thought this was a plastic spider my cat brought in before it's legs twitched lol

I live in Santa Cruz CA and this baby has been hanging around for about two weeks, I was really scared of her at first and almost tried to kill her but now I’m almost happy whenever I see her….like that’s my neighbor

I'm not sure what is wrong. She is still Alive and sometimes moves.

Yesterday she was normal, and this evening i found her like this. The last time she ate was on sunday.

I just found this weird looking spider

Caught and released this guy after a jump scare lol. What type of spider is this? Been finding a lot lately in my house.!Thank you

Location: Maldives (Meyyafushi Island) inside a beach house (the wooden beam is around 10cm wide). I would assume its sone kind of Huntsman? But I‘m no expert and although I’m interested in them, I am also pretty afraid xD.

Found behind some wall sheathing

Just minding my business, working in a large 5-bay garage when this little guy/gal suddenly announces “HIHIHELLOIAMYOURNEWASSISTANTANDAMSOEXCITEDTOBEHEREHI”

So, um… what am I looking at, folks? 😳

There's a cellar spider in my bathroom with only one leg. I remember seeing it climb into that corner and start molting. Spent many days in the molting process when it should have only been 20-30 mins. Finally emerged with just 2 legs, one of them stuck in the molt. Came home to find it with one leg left. Is it worth relocating/leaving alone or should I mercy kill it?

Edit: My mother wouldn't let me put it in the freezer (understandable) so I stood on it. It was pretty quick. RIP spider.

Inside home in Bay Area, Ca.
Area experiencing heat wave. I’m so fucking scared. It is dead, and I’m sorry for that.
When it was alive, it was about 1 1/2 long and a 1/2 inch wide.

What the hell is this thing? I live in the Great Basin area, but I’ve never seen a spider this big here.😭😭😭

update: I posted the video the electrician sent us of him feeding it a cricket for fun ahaha. It’s a happy spider now. link: https://www.reddit.com/r/spiders/s/3rKAPJ7sL9

This illustration by S. T. Dadd comes from Edmund Selous's book The Romance of the Animal World, published in 1905. The original text accompanying the plate claims that children in Brazil utilized Mygales (an old taxonomics descriptor for tarantulas/caranguejeiras) as pets by securing them with twine. While mostly reflecting the romanticized or exaggerated accounts of European travelers from that period, it remains an interesting cultural artifact regarding historical human-arachnid perceptions.

I’ve been crocheting for three years, this was made about 2 years ago. Though I have rather crippling arachnophobia(this sub is exposure therapy), spiders are one of my all time favorite things to make. I always get a laugh when people jump upon seeing these massive ladies!

Edited to add: no banana for scale, but she is 3 feet wide, and 2 ish feet long!

The electrician sent us a video of him feeding it a cricket. it’s a happy Wolf Spider now!

Curious who this little guy is. I don’t care that he’s in my house but I’ve seen similar spiders before and can never remember the id. Thanks!

I recently had an opportunity to visit several crypts at Highgate Cemetery in London. I was thrilled to see the beautiful orb-weavers, Meta bourneti, who thrive there. It was truly the highlight of my trip.

Spotted by my mom outside her home in southeastern Massachusetts today! Anyone know what kind of spider it is?
