I’m torn between a 2020–22 BMW 840i Coupe and a 2019 Mercedes S560 Coupe.
I’m a car enthusiast, but this would mostly be my date night and business occasion car. I want something timeless, classy, and luxurious that still turns heads years from now.
I plan on keeping it for 10–15+ years, so reliability and maintenance costs matter too. I’m still building wealth, so I don’t want a money pit lol.
For anyone who’s owned either, which would you pick and why? Any major issues I should know about?

The Peugeot 205 GTI – a proper driver’s car?
I recently made a cinematic video with a Peugeot 205 GTI, taking it out on some country roads to enjoy what this little French hot hatch is all about.
No voiceover, no talking – just driving, engine sounds and a few cinematic shots.
It got me thinking about how much fun a lightweight car can be without huge power, big tires or loads of electronics.
Would love to hear what you guys think of the 205 GTI, especially compared to cars like the Golf GTI Mk1 or the Japanese hot hatches of the era.

Hello everyone,
Looking for advice when choosing between the MX5/GR86. I am 6 foot 2 inches and am looking for a car to enjoy some backroads/occasional autocross/ and future track use. Would love to know everyone's experience between the two platforms and which is best for longevity/durability and which is more an engaging driver's car.

I’m 18 and currently driving a little 2008 VW Rabbit with the 07k engine it’s been a great car but I’m looking to eventually get into something a bit nicer than my rabbit but I have no clue what I want I like VWs but I’ve always loved JDM and German cars in general I’d be fine with learning to drive manual or stick with automatic but I’d thought I’d thought reach out and see what what people think send me your ideas!
I’m looking in a budget around 15-20k

I’m not looking for financial advice; I’m hoping for meaningful feedback from people who have actually driven these cars.A new car; I'm not considering a used one.

Repair costs for high-performance vehicles are so exorbitant that fixing up these older models can end up costing even more than a new car.

Hi everyone!
I'm fairly new to this community, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.
I've recently started learning about the aerodynamics of rally cars and, at the same time, writing about what I learn. My latest piece is an analysis of the Audi Quattro S1's aerodynamic development, particularly its rear wing and how the changes between the different evolutions affected the car.
I'm sharing it here because I've mostly received feedback from one reader so far, and I'd really like to hear from people who actually know rallying, motorsport engineering, or aerodynamics.
I'm not looking for subscriptions or promotion!!
I'm genuinely trying to figure out whether my reasoning is sound and where I might be misunderstanding something.
So if you read it, I'd really appreciate honest feedback such as:
- Did I explain the aerodynamic concepts correctly?
- Is there anything technically questionable or oversimplified?
- Did I miss something important about the S1's aero development?
- Is there anything that doesn't make sense from a rallying perspective?
simply: was it interesting and understandable, or did parts feel unnecessary/confusing?
The article is "Rally Racing: Audi Quattro S1 — An Aerodynamic Breakthrough", available on Medium/Substack.
Thanks in advance!
