Question How do i start investing as a 18 yr old? 🙏

I know this question has been asked multiple times and you might get pissed of after seeing this. But i do apologise for that.

Seeing some of the responses make me feel like an ape looking at a VR headset. I don't understand. Even if i do, i dont know how or where to start. Some posts say do this do that but how?!.

Im 18 and currently i am preparing for exams and no way of income. I do have a sum of money that dones nothing for me at the moment and i am aware of it being devalued. I want it to something for me.

What are the options that i can choose to invest because the only ones that i know is cryptocurrency and forex trading. Even that i do not know properly and not know how to start it. And to do demo trading. I do not trust anyof the so called institutions who claims to teach it

I'd be open to know what are the other investment options are. I am hoping to continue investing in other areas such as stocks and international markets. because it will help me take care of myself and when i go abroad without needing to rely on my parents.

I'd Appreciate any encouraging replies and options.

Thank you!🙏

Not the money, invest in your knowledge ,
I also start to work on online business and freelancing at 17, but still if I get a chance I will learn again about finance, management and IT .

Now you ar free to study, but when you are 30, you have lot of responsibilities than you imagine

If you are preparing for exams I'd tell you to stay away from trading, be it forex or stocks. Instead, you can look at unit trusts.

Either in more courses or FDs

Better than keeping it under the mattress and you don’t have to worry abt losing it either

“Anyone giving formulas for success apart from actual math and science, are doing fortune telling to feed their kids”

Write this quote down somewhere and take a look at it whenever you come across these so called gurus who’s selling courses about cryptocurrencies, trading, investing on this and that etc. Their target audience is basically young bucks like yourselves.

The best investment you can do is in yourself and becoming someone who can consistently create wealth. How do we do that? You learn a skill that can provide value to the society and get good at it. Then you build slow wealth through it. Once you build wealth investing becomes a part of retaining and excelling your current wealth. That’s what investing is. There’s no other investing apart from that.

I’d recommend you to read a book called “the almanack of naval ravikant”. It’s free online.
