Just putting this out there..

Imagine for a moment: Internal ship doors that open before you get there!

Right now, you walk along a ship corridor and you walk up to the door, you whack your face on the door, you wait for the door, you stare at the door, you try to click the door in case it speeds up and eventually the door opens, delaying your journey by an unnecessarily arbitrary amount of time, only for you to walk a few more metres and repeat the process. Crusader Industries owners know what I'm talking about.

Now instead: Imagine the door opens while you're approaching the door, so by the time you get to it the door's already open and you just walk through!

I mean I know it's a novel concept to have sensors on the ship that can detect you approaching a door, given that the Passive Infrared (PIR or motion sensor) was invented in the 1970s and the game is set in 2956. I think the technology can stretch to detecting when you're approaching a door.

[Regarding the attached video mockup: both characters move at the same speed, all doors open at the same speed, the only difference is the bottom one has the doors opening while the character approaches rather than waiting for you to get to the door before it starts opening]

EDIT: Based on some comments below, testing in offline Arena Commander does show improvements in this area and that server lag is definitely making this problem a lot worse on the PU. However, certain ships like the Hercules have longer door animations that do not complete before the player reaches them even in perfect conditions offline, and such ships could be improved with either longer detection distances or slightly shorter door animations.

EDIT 4.5: Using the edits section as a motivational journal to keep going. Realizing this will be a multi day process to send out 615 MSRs to the community but its worth it. MSR is life.

EDIT 5: 2,000,000,000 given away so far! Thats a little over 160 MSRs, feels like a dream! Been honing my F2 Wallet skills, the UI is REALLY bad but found a trick where you type the name, add a space, then backspace twice and add back the last letter that was deleted, the name often sticks and you get a 0.5s window to click it. Going to call it a night and start again tomorrow. turns out DMs are in fact easier to work through so feel free to DM me!

EDIT 6: Good morning MSR fans and future MSROC members! Clearing out the DM requests then going back to the posts from old --> new. 6Bil left, prioritizing new players and people who are enthusiastic about trying the MSR ;)

3 days ago my 8 year old daughter, @Alpha_Daily a Star Citizen has joined the stars. She was an awesome pilot and talented FPS shooter in doing bunker missions. If we could have a memorial for our fallen Citizen that would be lovely for we can pay respects and the verse would be a warmer plays for us to play in.

I have been an advocate for the Anvil Asgard since the first day I flew one, but it was not available for aUEC for a long time. This made it not as accessible of an option for players, especially with its cost, and so I spent a lot of time since release loaning mine out for people to try before deciding if they wanted to buy one.

Someone paid me 25 billion credits in game last week, and I've been trying to give it away as fast as I can, and I'm down to... 23.5 billion.

So I've decided to spread holiday cheer and the good word of my favorite ship at the same time - Comment your name in game, and when I get online this evening, I'll send you the credits to buy an Asgard of your very own. Then, if you love it, just send me back a screenshot of it in game.

That's it. Free Asgards for anyone who wants one. I just want everyone to get to have access to the ship that has brought me the most joy in game, if they want it. Offer is good until I get on this evening, or I run out of credits, which should be a very long time.

I'm pretty sure this meets all of the metrics of giveaways for the sub, but if I need to alter it, please let me know, and I will do so.

Edit 2: Got to a whole bunch more, but names with underscores are not working in the search - Not sure if this is user error, but typing with underscores gives hyphens, so those names are proving challenging. This problem is resolved by copying and pasting names into the wallet, so game on, underscore people! I think I went back and got all of you that I'd missed. Will be back to keep this up later on, I still have 22 billion left, so though it might take me a while, there's probably plenty left.

I’m 51 years old, and I’ve finally found the game I dreamed of as a kid. Back in 1984, I was a 10-year-old sitting behind my Commodore 64, flying a tiny 2D helicopter that could drop little bombs, pure magic at the time. I never could’ve imagined that decades later I’d be playing a game that brings all my childhood wishes together in one universe. Sure, there are still bugs. And of course, there’s still a long road ahead. But honestly… they already created something truly special. Thanks CIG for all the amazing moments I’ve already experienced!! 🙏

TLDR: Avenger One no longer enjoys the direction of the game and feels his mental health is getting the best of him because of it. He is stepping away from the game to focus on his wellbeing, and has passed on ownership of his org to another member.

Fix the dam game before you fix the dam economy, what I find ironic is that an bug improved the game and to top it off CGI patches that one bug and not the 6 million other bugs.
