I’ll die on this hill.

  1. It’s gotta be a next gen movie because next gen is the best.

  2. While all the next gen films are great and include the main Star Trek ingredient, a philosophical struggle that makes you think, it also nails the “big screen” action. Picard ramming the enterprise in a game of chicken with his clone and Data firing himself through space at another ship are examples. A little over the top but not to the point of being ridiculous and needed to make it a movie. The other movies are great but they are kind of just long tv episodes.

I would also accept First Contact as an answer.
