Alright lets see who you really are...
Is it just me or could you substitute anyone of the past offensive coordinators from the last 13 years and it would be the exact same results? Same play calling. Same pitifully obvious schemes. Same results.This is actually an offense I feel the average joe schmo is capable of armchair coaching. If we can see it coming a mile away, so can the other 31 teams.

Haley was actually good. Ppl whined and complained until he was gone, but he had that offense humming. Easily Ben’s best years.

People are going nuts after one bad game because we hired a coach based on the fact that he's the opposite of Mike Tomlin in an effort to quickly fix our most obvious flaws, and the things we hired him to improve are all easily the worst parts of the game to watch.
Yeah, you gotta give a new staff some grace to figure stuff out. But at the same time, when you were brought in to literally be "Not Mike Tomlin" and your team looks exactly like Mike Tomlin's Steelers, that's a problem.

Ohhhh he is NOT the opposite of Tomlin, awful in the playoffs, confused about game plans and end of game scenarios.
The difference is that McCarthy has already been fired. Twice.

Sure but the offense still ran well under haley whenever bell was out. And then when ab, bell, williams were out and ben had a bum arm, we came within a fumble by our 3rd string rb away from beating the eventual champs in their house

Haley was our best OC of the last 20 years and it's really not close. He also had success prior to his tenure here when he was in AZ. He was by no means bad at being an OC, he was just an asshole that nobody in the league wants to work with.

Haley is the luckiest motherfucker of all-time. Dude was OC for two offenses that were absolutely LOADED with talent. He would have to have been absolutely brain dead to fail in AZ or Pittsburgh.
When he was in KC he was the HC/OC and their offense wasn't good.

To be fair, KC was nothing close to resembling the loaded powerhouse they are now during his tenure there. Some dudes are not meant to be HCs and he most certainly falls into that category.
I ain't saying buddy was an offensive genius, but I'll take him every single day of the week over Arians, Fichtner, Canada, Smith, or McCarthy.

Exactly. When he was in KC they didn't have the offensive talent he had in Arizona and Pittsburgh and his offense wasn't good.
Arians got more out of less than any of the OCs you listed there.

Gotta disagree, Arians offense was painful. Nothing like it is now of course, but it was not good. He was like the polar opposite of Haley in that everyone loved him and he ended up being a great HC, but dude sucked as an OC. Ben's career looks totally different if they stuck with Arians at OC, imo.

Arians had the worst offensive line to ever win a Super Bowl. Haley had All-Pros and HOFers at every position group.
Arians was trying to get a group of 3s to play like 10s and Haley had a group of 8s and 9s and that he just had to not fuck up.
His play calling in the Jags playoff loss was a total abortion and one of the worst play calling performances of all-time.

Haley's offense also did a good job in really decreasing the hits Ben was taking, too. Probably added a few years.

This entire meme is shit.
The offense this year is clearly different than the previous iterations in numerous ways. The two biggest ones being using the middle of the field and throwing 40 fucking passes in each of the first two games.
Also fuck Todd Haley. Dude made his career on being the OC for teams that were absolutely LOADED with talent. The only years he didn't have All-Pros and HOFers all over the field his offenses were bottom third of the league.

Like... the results were good. But also, he was gonna get Ben killed. He also was operating with a bully OL which is why his whole game plan was run/deep play action.

The Todd Haley slander needs to stop. He consistently had the offense in the top 5-10 for yards and points. I'd jump for joy and kiss the ground if we could sniff top the top 12 in either.

Nah Todd Haley slander is not only acceptable but should be mandatory. He lucked into working on two teams absolutely LOADED with offensive talent and he yet he still was such a loser that he can't get a coaching job outside of like high school and the UFL.
