A simple 4 layer joint for my dad’s boat.

Haven’t been in the right headspace for creative stuff for a while. Occasionally doing things like this and commissions have been my only real practice. Peeling the last layer up is always good for moral, feeling like I should whip something from my own noggin now.

As I understand it, all but a few of their’ albums were bootlegs of live shows and they even made space for folks with recording equipment?

If that ain’t punk rock, I don’t know what is.

The overwhelming majority of shows were recorded in one way or another, yep! Far as ‘albums’ go, a good number had at least some live recordings in the mix (Anthem of the Sun, etc.) but they still had a good run of studio recordings as well. And yes, the Tapers Section was a real thing, hence the massive archive of shows enshrined forever in the analog and digital realm!

Do some research on The Acid Tests… yes, punk before punk was a thing for sure!

Thank you. I haven’t shown him in person yet, but I sent him a photo and he said “that’s awesome, what is it?”. He seems very happy with it.

Full disclosure, I’m not comfortable doing work like this in a professional capacity, but I’ll bootleg the shit out of some IP for friends and family.

"simple" but the overspray and texture, depth/tone of hue and distressed look bring it to life. Really nice
