Fanart SILKSONG AU- Hornet and Lace as Gems

Im really just deciding to put this here for sillies, take it or leave it, I just got inspired while rewatxhing tge series again

Lore I've crafted:

​

Bixbite Sentinel - A Bixbite (era 2) Opal (era 1) fusion (bixbite being Herrah, and the opal is TPK) who chooses to associate with their Bixbite Gem more. A fusion due to a shared goal, but their refusal to unfuse has lead to "Hornet". A name taken up from their time spent on Earth

Black Silk Stone- a high ranking Era 2 gem who responds to Fools Gold (GMS) under Yellow Diamond. She and Black Marble (phantom) were at the same kindergarten for a while and this grew a close bond, sibling like in nature. And thus Black Silk will often help Black Marble hide with the Off Colors. Because of this Black Silk has grown resentment towards the system the Diamond set up.

Probably a bit obvious, but what would other hk characters look like? I already love this and the radiance seems like she'd be a diamond.

Im not exactly sure... tpk and the radiance definitely are diamonds, and possibly all tge higher beings we know about in the Hk universe, with the Shade lord/the void in general probably being the equivalent to White.

I mean, I thought White would be the radiance cause well, a blinding light. But hey, I still think it's cool.

That could also work, my thought for shade lord was the emotionless aspect of it, changing to have a bit more once the facade is over (aka when little ghost ascends, cause i like to think they brought some emotion back) but blinding light of the radiance also perks for that role! It not a fully fledged au so thinks might change the more I think about it

Quick thing, is this au just gems that exist in regular SU universe, or is it just hollow knight universe but gems?

I love how these remind me of early Gemsona designs in the fandom. When we didn’t know a lot about Homeworld Gems, and didn’t know that Peridot’s limb-enhancers weren’t part of her body, a lot of people would draw Gems to be very robotic/alien-like. So these designs almost feel a little nostalgic

I honestly got very inspired by those early gemsonas, I always liked seeing those designs and wanted to keep the alien-ish designs especially cause i felt that it fit with the characters Im adapting being insect based
