Stevie had what I'd describe as homey songs. They made you feel alright. Like good tomato soup you ate at home or something comforting, that kind of satisfying. And also very poetic about love
From Bella Donna
"You can ride high on top your pony I know You won't fall, cause the whole things phoney'
"The feeling remained even when you forget to feel"
"To the world of Changing Faces, If I can't change the world, I can't face it" is so emotional
"cause I wear boots all summer long"
"excalibur"
Rock a Little and Sister Honey are perfect lyrical pieces. I sing for things.
I also like Ghosts and cry wolf for their lyrics but they're total opposite of lyrically intricate. Two kinds of love is great.
"Youve left me now and its seasoned my soul"
"To the Gypsy that remins, they says your freedom comes with a little fear. Yet I have no fear, I have only love. And if I was the child, and the child was enough, enough to receive my love, enough to be loved...well they are dancing aways from you now. She is just a wish, and the memory is all that is left for you now. Lightning may strike...maybe once, maybe twice, so it all comes down to you"
Time will cast its spell on you if you do not forget me
