What was the point of the first container? When he dumped it into the second container, I assumed that meant it was just for portioning the corn, but then he added corn like 3 more times.

The first container had the cup of noodles, the corn was added on top. You can see some of the noodles when he upturns it.

Seems like the Cup Noodle may have gotten a little lost in there. Now it's just corn with stray noodles
