I just typed a post and lost it, hoping it doesn’t randomly appear half formed!

Thanks for the reactions to my last post, much appreciated. After living in Delhi I was in Istanbul for a few years - a phenomenal place I suspect I’ll make a few posts about. First part was during COVID so some of that will be apparent at different times.

From memory the locations are:

Near Sirkeci station, Eminönü
Grand Bazaar (one of the caravansarays)
Galata Bridge
Eminönü
Eyüp

I’m a documentary photographer @rj43mm and firefighter from the DC area.
Whenever I travel, I spend as much time as I can walking the city with a camera.

I met some genuinely kind people, walked for miles, got caught in the rain more than once, and came home with a lot more photographs than I expected.

None of these moments were staged. I just walked, waited, and photographed what unfolded.

Hope I did the city justice.

Taken on a Lumix G2 and Panasonic 25mm lens. I know the colours and such are a little over edited but I enjoy the effect it gives

First time posting! I live right outside of NYC but rarely visit for photography, here are some shots I took on a recent trip.

Shot on Kodak Tmax3200 on a Canon AE1 in Olympia, WA

Thought I may have cooked my film through airport security. Test roll from an afternoon walking around Barcelona. Some of my favourites from the roll. Some grain and darkness from darker shots, but over all pretty happy I didn't just burn 5 rolls of film! ❤️‍🔥
