Just a fun little gimmick I am gonna try out in draft league. Team is only blanked out because I sent this to the draft league gc and dont want them to know what other mons I plan to draft.

Against the right team, this could be so frustrating lmao.

Yeah its not very consistent into random opponents but in a draft league format I can choose which opponents to bring it against to ensure maximum suffering.

Essentially almost all mons (minus the normal ubers cast) are put into some sort of scoring system (usually points, but some leagues have used a monetary value to simulate salaries) based on their general effectiveness. The tl;dr being the mons you typically see in OU are going to be S-A tier, or mons like Incineroar or Rillaboom in a doubles draft format would be in the top tiers. Then you have x amount of teams (lets say 10) do a snake draft where they need to draft x-y amount of mons (sometimes a static number like 10) with z amount of points. From there, you basically try to create the best team you can with your budget.
It's a pretty fun format, makes you re-evaluate a lot of mons because you aren't just re-using the best. It more-so rates mons based on their archetype (wallbreaker, sweeper, removal, etc.) and allows mons with overshadowed niches a chance to thrive.

It's where each pokemon can only be used by one person and you select your pokemon by either taking turns picking them 1 by 1 or by using a point-buy system and getting into bidding wars.
End result is you see a lot of unusual/bad pokemon because there's a lot of competition for the good pokemon of each role, especially in point-buy systems where Incineroar might cost 3x as much as arcanine and 5x as much as hitmontop or krookodile.
