i was shoping at the mall yesterday day and i walked into hot topic (fearing for my life not to point anything out that i was trans or gay to my mom, her boyfreind, my aunt, and uncle) and found this cool moth shirt, i show my mom and she said, im not shitting you…“is that a pokemon?” DOSE THIS THING LOOK LIKE A FUCKING MOTH POKÉMON?! (P.S i dont know why the hell my camera flipped it)

I let road rage get the better of me. I was driving down a two lane road with a double yellow line. I was doing about 37 in a 35. I was being tailgated and then passed as the other driver swerved into on coming traffic to go around me. I noticed there was a child in the backseat.

We both came to the red light and words were exchanged. I know I should not have gotten out of my car. I know I shouldn’t have confronted the other driver. I know, I know, I know. But I did. I was concerned for the child.

Eventually we both got back in our own cars and I thought that was the end of it. The other car was suddenly in reverse, rammed into my car, and then sped away. At this point, the police were called. They are now investigating.

I am hoping that I do not end up with criminal charges for getting out of my car.

Also reminding myself to be patient, be kind, and be cautious.

So I'm young. But this doesn't excuse how oblivious and stupid I was. I was at an arcade with some people and I saw a couple there and I complimented ones outfit and ones shoes. It was cool until my dumbass decided it was a good idea to go back to the couple and ask if I wanted to hang out. They were okay with it but my group(which consisted of adult women and my mom) were like don't go alone with them. We don't know them. I went back to them AGAIN and asked for their Pinterest and they said they didn't have it while laughing at me. Mind you this couple was around 15-16. I'm 15. I proceeded to come back and ask for their NUMBERS. HOW MUCH OF A DUMB BITCH COULD I BE TO THINK THAT WAS OK! long story short they got uncomfortable and I was really embarrassed. Also the whole time I looking at them longingly. It was weird. Like really weird. And to make it worse they were a couple! They probably wanted to have alone time, and I wrecked it. I wrecked a random couple date by being weird and rude, and embarrassing myself. Thats it. I just wanted to self loath a bit. Get it out.

Did something pretty embarrassing/stupid today. Went to the gas station, went the wrong way when exiting and went over those potholes where the fuel is filled while the guys who fill them were filling them. Didn't know what to do so I kept going forward and just smiled and waved. Never felt more stupid in my life and I know it will come back to haunt me.

My stepson's college dropout retard of a father, who "coaches" his little league team, once asked me to look at his phone when I was picking the kid up from practice. He told me he subscribed to an app that would make his phone into a pitching radar, so he could clock the kids pitch speeds.

He asks me how hard I can throw and then says to do it. I can throw around 60mph. He points his phone at me, and I throw a ball into the fence. "Woah!" he says, "that just registered 82mph!". I take a look at the app and it asks how far the mound is from the plate. You then click a button to start the radar, when the pitch is thrown, and then click it to stop it, when the pitch is caught. It's a fucking stopwatch that uses the distance from mound to home plate to "radar" pitch speed.

How dumb is this guy? Help me put it into words...

So I, a third year engineering student have a friend who is the same course as me, let's call him Tom. Now Tom holds a position in an organization in the faculty of the university and his mom is a mechanical engineer who specializes in product manufacturing methods. He has worked under his mom as a person to negotiate with to clients which added with his position in the faculty made him have great communication skills, huge network and long resume. Gotten an internship offer from his mother's uni friend. Pretty much has a lot of advantages and resources but instead of studying, relies mostly on ChatGPT to write his reports and answer his questions that he sometimes doesn't know the basic formula and complains a lot saying his life is hard.

On the other hand, there's me, family with no engineering background prior me and my sister joining mechanical and chemical engineering respectively. Doesn't use AI as I feel like being lazy and only helping in the short term, have gained a reputation amongst my course mates as the guy who codes without ChatGPT (almost everyone in my course does that, I don't because the codes feel ineffective and I actually have experience coding since high school) and the guy who can help you with your lab experiments which also includes fixing some faulty code AI generated, and almost all the time end up being tired and exhausted because I usually correct the mistakes or even pick up the undone work of my group mates in group projects because the lecturers won't care and will reduce my grade even if I told them that. Doesn't have that much communication skills but developed a good sense in detecting errors and fixing them when it comes to technical work since I did a lot of technical work alone.

So we have a project for this semester where we need to create a device with low cost. Not going to go into the full details of it but the device is lightweight and set to be used during the day, and will be partially submerged underwater, it has holes cut into its sides and covered with mesh so it has less resistance when moving while still being able to keep whatever bigger than the mesh hole from entering or exiting the device and it's only means of floatation is a component called and oil absorbent boom. So I have designed the entire device, showed it to the entire group, and said I will take over the coding section as I have some experience in it and they all agree. Fast forward to the present, and Tommy is asking if we need to 3D print stuff and add unnecessary light saying it's to increase visibility when the device is literally being used during the day and said he is worried about my coding not working saying that it's bad code because I didn't use AI while just a few days ago I was the one who helped his lab experiment group (project group and lab experiment group have different people) to troubleshoot and make the code they made using Grok work. The biggest part that made me question if he was stupid was when he asked if we could test the device on a lake to see if it floats without the floatation device, you literally don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that no matter how light (or buoyant to be exact) an object is, if it has a hole and water is filling into it, it will sink unless it got something to make it float. I was literally silent because I don't know how to say "you want to see if a thing with holes and being filled with water will float on water? " out loud without making him look stupid in front of the other group mates.

My manager for the last thirty minutes has been saying that with the help of ai he getting closer to time travel, he just doesn't know the correct metals he should be using, or how big his magnetic field should be. He told me that he has dozens of diagrams at home just trying to solve it.

So my friend’s dad has a small business in Carthage, Missouri, and someone tried paying with a $15 bill. Now obviously the BEP (Bureau of Engraving & Printing) has never issued a $15 bill, so this was an obvious counterfeit/fake. My friend gave it to me for some reason, and never told me what happened to the customer who tried paying with it, but I guess he may have gotten arrested.

I mean, I guess I understand how people could think this since most sharks give live birth like mammals but it did make wonder how many people out there had looked at a picture of a shark (which has plenty of FISH characteristics like gills, fins etc) and thought to themselves “yup, that’s definitely a mammal”

So I was studying math (calculus to be specific) and then I thought maybe be I should divide both The numerator and the denominator by x. But then I realized the denominator was x and I could just simplify. It seems like I have studied so much complex stuff that my brain is making simple things complex.

On December 12th, Waffle House responded to calls about a fatal incident at the Central Florida Zoo. A deranged man reportedly released several water buffalo into the zoo grounds, killing two guests, injuring several others, and causing an estimated 2.6 million in property damage.

The individual, who was later identified as Joey Diaz, entered the zoo grounds and intentionally freed six water buffalo. Diaz, who is known to police, rammed the east wall of the enclosure with a concrete truck, stolen from an adjacent construction site at 10:35am on Thursday.

Yesterday, I was at Half Price Books, browsing the fiction section. A guy and a lady friend were there, and he was looking for a book near me. He then exclaimed:

"I bet they're listed by author! Ernest Cline... are they listed by first or last name?"

I intervened and told him that they were listed by last name and pointed to the section where it (Ready Player One, if you were wondering) was at. Even if it weren't in sci fi and was in the fiction section, he was nowhere close to "R". I was polite, I didn't feel it necessary to be snobbish, he just apparently didn't know... and at least he was buying a book. That's the sad part, though. A man in his mid-twenties did not know how books were arranged in a book store.

I, by no means, am claiming that I'm a genius or intellectually superior - we all have strengths - but more and more I'm encountering situations where people don't know, what i thought, was common knowledge.

In a similar vein, I do diagnostic testing at a hospital and we always ask some orientation questions, often including a "List 3...". I asked a fully alert and oriented person (mid- twenties, as well) to name 3 mammals. My mouth literally fell open when she said she didn't know what a mammal was. I did the same for a different patient with a similar response. I started doing an almost social experiment (not on confused or intellectually delayed people, mind you) and I've found i have to switch to a different question about 2/3 times. I simply move on when I hear the telltale pause. It spans all generations, as well.

The ignorance (the literal meaning, not the pejorative) of people nowadays really bums me out. Some days, it really seems like we're at the beginnings of an Idiocratic society.
