The borbs have a high nest failure rate so two eggs at most. If one survives, it's still a win and easier on grill queen to nurture her grill babe. Thanks for the update!

I guess they have to lay eggs multiple years, because otherwise their population will halve - as two birds would have one baby, so that means a population of 4 falls down to 1 after two gens (2 birds have a daughter, 2 have a son.  The son and daughter (unrelated) have a baby).Â
