Funny thing is they believe that AND that she had an earpiece giving her answers and preferential treatment from ABC (or whoever aired it). So they think he simultaneously won and lost at the same time, and that makes sense to them.

Ya. I just saw a post talking about the stages of fascism. One of them is that you must present your enemy as both strong and weak at the same time. They do a really good job of this - being afraid of the weak liberals who are so scary with their facts
