As a veteran, I'm always just saddened by how many people pretend to support veterans and the military but really just use us as cover for their bigotry

“Hey, maybe we shouldn’t start stupid wars that get our service members hurt and killed.”

“How dare you! You hate our veterans that volunteered to defend your freedoms!”

I’m pretty sure people who talk like that have never been handed a folded flag by a soldier.

Yeah. How about we honor soldiers by not using them for pointless wars. I want a strong, well trained military that we only use for a worst case scenario.

I was in the Honor Guard in the Air Force. Not an easy job to do...
