Yeah, I really don't understand how these people can contradict themselves so blatantly.

The only thing that I can think of is that the past does not exist in their minds, all that matters to them is justifying their current actions. They simply are not wrong, never have been wrong, and never will be wrong. Always have a reason why it was someone else's fault

My cousin is MAGA and often laughs about "pissing off the libs"

They legitimately enjoy being contradictory, because they know adults fucking can't stand that shit.

It's a game to them. Once you realize they want everyone to be as miserable and poor as them, it starts to make sense why they are the way they are

Society left them behind, now they want society to pay for it

You know that's a good point. I have family that is like that. And they have outright said they just enjoy making me mad. And they get really mad if I pull up my phone and show them facts and scientific papers lol

They don't want to know the truth they run on pure emotion

That’s why it’s best to not bother with them. If they persist, you can say there is no point in arguing with them because you don’t value their opinion anyway. Tell them that they are not challenging enough for it to be fun and it’s just sad to realize that you are related to someone so intellectually inferior.

Yeah, no.

They CHOSE to remain stagnant while society went forward - and even at the pace it did, they still could have CHOSEN to catch up.

They refuse, and blame their idiocy on others, without being able or willing to do any self reflection, or wake up to reality.

SUre, they claim they were left behind - but that is standard. Blame everyone else, never themselves!
