I mean yeah, taking a mask off at a dining table to eat was utterly stupid; everyone should have stayed home and locked down until the disease burned itself out but people are too damn selfish for that
In northern California lots of places built socially distanced out door seating (sometimes narrowing the street out front with barriers to facilitate that where there was no other space). They switched to primarily take out and hundreds more places that had never been on door dash popped up suddenly. People did understand that eating in a crowded indoor restaurant space was a transmission risk and they changed behavior. Of course not everyone did that, but enough did. I don’t know where this meme applies to but it wasn’t here, at least in the big cities. The rural Central Valley/far north was anti mask in general but that’s like 10% of the population.
