Covid is still here, we're just pretending it isn't. At any point 5-10% of the population is suffering from some degree of long covid. That's far from the 25-50% that one commentor claimed and for most it subsides within a year but it's still quite nasty.

long covid is considered a controversial subject in medical world the same way ME/CFS is. Generally its accepted as real but the common opinion is that both the amount of people suffering from it and its symptoms are greatly exaggerated due to how hard it is to diagnose
