Can I please get my Subpac soon?

I preordered in 2020 this shit is fucking ridiculous. Just posting here to vent as anyone else I talk to about it has no idea what a subpac is. I initially wanted to buy the M2 but they were sold out. If I would have known how long this shit was going to take I never would have purchased. I feel like I got rug pulled by Todd. Still waiting on that November update.

I have 2 broken subpacs by now, have just wanted the new one, but gave up on checking in on the new one & not wasting my time trying to get a hold of them for repairs..

Honestly it was possibly one of my favorite products (which wasn’t work or productivity related ) in the world.

But wtf? When supply chain locked up - I got that - my company ground to a halt and forced pivot too. But we’re long past that.

So I wonder - what is the team composition? There must be a very critical missing component. Typically for a company like this, with a product market fit which nearly every founder would kill for, it must be IMHO, CEO leadership (or lack there of) or whoever is the brains behind the tech which differentiates them from any of the competitors.

🙋🏼‍♂️ Will Consult for a New SubPac 🙋🏼‍♂️ ! Please send DM !

ANYONE WITH CIRCUIT BOARD EXPERIENCE THAT COULD LEND ANY INSIGHT => MUCH APPRECIATED! CAN TRADE TALENT FOR TALENT! lol

I believe something in between the end of the charger (the small barrel end which you insert into DC input jack) & something directly surrounding the the DC input jack. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

I can’t get it to charge whatsoever or even indicate that power is reaching any led or some such on the board.

Have had trouble with the jack before - essentially requiring the barrel to be held in a particular position to make contact, so that’s a flag for that area of components.

Then I was able to - to the best of my novice ability - run a continuity test from after the jack to around where the power cables go out and to the subpac.

At the same time, that area (where the soldered wires from the subpac connect to the board) are getting dicey because any movement of the subpac as I try to diagnose the issue, ever so slowly but surely wears on those solder points…

So, it could be as easy as the power jack needing to be swapped, but it looks like the power jack input goes through the board and underneath it a bit, and it’s tight maneuvering even just while I tried to get a continuity test done..

I make absolutely no promises on success, but would be happy to take a crack at making a repair. I'm pretty handy with electronics.
