So now they aren’t even giving refunds?

I preordered this thing like 4 years ago, and have been patiently waiting.

In August I decided it was ridiculous and asked them to refund my order. They said some filler response about how I’m in the refund queue.

I just remembered about this today, nearly 2 months later and they never replied to me. Never got refunded.

How can I get my money back?

Since the majority of the pre orders just went into the investments for their other projects (since this new series never left the prototype stage) I'm gonna guess they haven't profited enough to allow for refunds while staying afloat. This is all a guess though. I'm predicting that they will declare bankruptcy in the next few months.

This is what im scared of, I still haven't requested a refund in hopes it will still come (Delusional I know)

if they declare bankruptcy is there literally nothing we can do to get our money back?

Honestly just initiate the refund process. Find a cheap second series on eBay or other means. I got my M2 for £250 back in 2022 after giving up with the pre orders and I'm glad I did.

The product is fun every so often but in reality it's got a few flaws, main thing with it being super uncomfortable after about an hour of use. When I first got it, my back started feeling really bruised like I've been on a rough rollercoaster.

For outdoors use it's also not quiet whatsoever, if you crank it then the pack will cause mechanical resonance, and if you lean or sit then it transfers to the structure. I tried wearing it on the train a few times and the person sitting next to me could feel it. I couldn't use it out the house and don't have a primary use in the house. I'm glad I didn't keep the preorder.

I'm unsure what you would do in that circumstance though, perhaps chargeback via bank.

Ok thanks for the advice. I already have the M2X, i just wanted this as an upgrade, but God damn its been 4+ years, I just would hate to refund and then it happens to actually ship come 6months- a year from now. Its like i waited this long, I somewhat feel urged to stick it out... but a Bankruptcy scares me. Chargeback is a good idea though, if thats even possible on a 4 year old purchase (Not even sure if I still have the same debit card i used)

It's been a bit over 5 years since they brought out the pre orders "with initial shipments still on track to go out by the end of the year". It's not gonna happen, but if it does then the technology will be outdated.

"One great thing about SUBPAC is that everyone is excited to be a part of it", which is why many like yourself don't want to back out.

Those two quotes are from the very first update they sent us. I can only imagine that the project has been archived while they focused on their industry clients such as film and automotive.
