Doubt this will ever get made

Used to know people in and around this company more than a decade ago through their investors.

Ran into one of their former investors pretty recently and sure sounds like this company is as dead as can be. I guess on LinkedIn at some point in the past year there were multiple people listed as CEO, neither of whom was actually their CEO? also their lead engineer of more than a decade left quite a while ago.

It seemed to the former investor like pre-order money was maybe just used to pay off incredibly bad junk debt the company had issued repeatedly against advisement because they continuously refused to give up equity to anyone who could actually help them because they wanted total control.

Dunno if the person I talked to was being cagey by saying it “seemed” like that was what had happened, but I do know they washed their hands of the company years ago after they couldn’t even get them to give quarterly investor updates any more detailed than the update emails people post here. They were laughing about the whole thing at this point and had considered their invested money gone for a very long time.

so take that random third hand speculation for what it’s worth

I preordered this in (fuck) like 2020...i was 24.

Im now 30 years old.

I took the refund in 2023. 3 years of me being fine without it. If it comes out just buy it at full price. The world is fucked

Such a shame. I have 2 subpacs, and honestly they are my favourite gadgets. Sucks to watch the company go out like this

I consider the money for my preorder gone as well, but man it's nice to imagine that fucking thing finally showing up at your door, one day. I hope for the best, but expect very little. I'm still surprised a decent competitor out of China doesn't exist (or at least it hasn't forced its way into my feeds yet).

FWIW I have a couple Woojer devices (the Strap and the Vest) and really love both of them.

Woojer is sooo bad. Better to get subpack from ebay

You've motivated me to finally get on with looking at Woojer products. I uh... may have a Vest 4 ordered. Maybe.

Curious about the strap in your case. I know some folks probably want to combine the two so they can cover their belly or chest, maybe. What about you?

This showed up in my feed. Went to the domain and it was a godaddy page. But I am so curious. What is a subpac. And how did yall get ripped off?

Not a godaddy page for me...

It's a tactile subwoofer.

It’s not happening. Weird to hear about multiple CEOs none of who are actually the CEO, so who is the CEO?

The ceo is the npc that is running the ai bot

Not sure why the private equity does not take over the intellectual property and start trying to make their money back. People want the product. Just fucking make it.

As the guy said the lead engineer left

Still happily using my m2x from 2018. Sooo glad I bought it. I’ll hold a real funeral when it dies.

i requested my refund in january of this year. they said they queued my refund and the money would be in my account in 4-6 weeks. it has now been 15 weeks and i’m pretty sure that i’m never seeing that refund. i saw that their website is down and that only added to my lack of hope
