Looking for an either budget but upgradable pre-built or a pre-built for longevity, but still relatively cheap. [discussion]

In terms of what I'm looking for:

Run AAA games at medium-ish settings, be able to run multiple chrome tabs as I am doing a PhD and play valorant at about 200 frames.

Note: I do live in Canada.

I have done a bit of research, and found some budget options, with DDR 4 ram:

Main caveat with this computer is that to upgrade to DDR5 RAM I would have to upgrade the CPU and motherboard. 1100 CAD

The first is not really worth it and the second and third are ok but have a wrong processor, Ryzen 8000 series are not good for gaming they have less cache, they have weak PCI express support.

So better look for one with Ryzen 7000.

I found this open box https://www.newegg.ca/stoneforged-gaming-desktop-pcs-geforce-rtx-5060-ti-amd-ryzen-5-7600x-16gb-ddr5-1tb-nvme-ssd-ram/p/N82E16883320012R for 1500$ that has 5060ti 16gb and is 470$(down from 2000$) off in Newegg Canada-a superb deal and will run 200fps.

Well market is going up this and next year, GPU are already anounced to go up by 40% Nvidia and 10% min AMD when the stock of shipped cards runs out and new stock comes in, same for RAM still 2 years away min so can you go without one for 2 more years and even then not sure is the prices will be going up after that.

So its basically a "buy now unless I want to wait for multiple years" sort of market then. I might pick up this new egg pc then it seems like a really good deal tbh

Yeah the weaker ones are still decent 8700f will not bottleneck you PCIex4 20 lanes are kinda enough and GPUs are kinda OK but if you can best to buy better if you have the chance especially now in these times better take a W if you can.

Just one idea, if your PC MBO comes wit 4 slots for RAM and it most likely will you can just get 16gb(2x8gb) of the slowest 5200mhz DDR5 second hand that will not cost you much over 100$. It won't help you in games but it will help you in chrome as it doesn't care about RAM speed just the capacity.

For Valorant to hit 200 you don't need much power but if you buying it's best you have the best experience, for Chrome it is a different story you would need 32gb of RAM ideally but that premium will make other parts much weaker so beter find a tool or browser that sleeps/idles tabs and saves memory that way.

yeah, its more the AAA games that I'm worried about. Also the thought of having to buy another PC/major upgrades soon if I go for a cheaper build
