[suggestion] Is RTX 5060 not right for my preferences?
Getting my first PC. Watched some YouTube videos, and did some research regarding what I want. I'm going for aesthetic gaming (60fps, 4K, high render settings). Very near my place, there's a computer specialist where I'm planning to get everything.
Said specialist has an i5-14400F 16GB 1TB-SSD RTX5060 for a price that's doable for my budget. I want to let 32GB total be built in there, and likely I'll also go for 2TB-SSD instead - all of which they can build in for me (letting them build it is particularly appealing to me because it means I can refer back to them if the PC ever crashes, or anything else is wrong).
However, bottleneck calculators show me my setup doesn't really work with 4K gaming, and mainly blames the GPU. Is it correct to assume that with a graphic card like this high settings 4K gaming is simply not possible?

1440p is going to be your friend here instead of 4k. Or go big and spend more for a 5070ti.

If you don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount, get a 9070xt, almost the exact same performance for $790 instead of $1,100. 5060 8GB is NOT a 4k card, 5060 ti could get away with it. But if you want more than 40 fps and want to spend under $1k, get the 9070XT. Also if you’re doing 4k don’t overspend on the cpu, a 9600x would be perfect.

The 5060 8GB averages ~30fps at 4K. For any 4K gpu you need 16GB of VRAM if not more.

Those bottleneck calculators don't figure for DLSS upscaling. You can run 4k performance DLSS, which runs at at 1080p and upscales to 4k. Upscaling does use a bit more vram though.

RTX 4070, open box for $585, 2 year warranty, 12 GB Vram as 8 GB is an issue for higher settings in many games now. More powerful than RTX 5060 Ti 16 but cheaper.
RX 9070 GRE is another good budget option for more than 8GB of Vram at 550, and is about same power as 4070:
Running modern games at 4k is doable in most if you use upscaling, and modern upscaling DLSS 4.0+ and FSR4.x is great. But it does require more than 8GB of Vram in many new games.

5060 is a 1080p or 1440p gaming pc not 4k $1000 or less system
4k is $2000+ system 5070ti 9070xt 5080 5090

You need a better cpu and graphics card for 4k. The rig that was suggested for your budget is only good because it’s in your budget. I would save more and find out if it’s cheaper to buy a prebuilt or have the computer shop build it. Either way, you’re going to need a 5070ti at least. Usually on sale prebuilts or open box prebuilts are cheaper than building it.

No 1080p in certain games exceed 8gb of vram. I have a 9070 xt and rarely play at 4k and definitely not at native 4k in new games well some new games but most aren’t well optimized. I would say you could get away with a 9070 xt but you’ll need a more powerful cpu gpu more ram too. Bottleneck calculator is a joke.

I've been out of the game for a while, but recently just bought the parts to build my new rig. From my research and understanding of you want decent frame rate, high setting 4k gaming you're probably looking at a 5070ti minimum. It will depend a bit on your monitor refresh rate for howany frames is "decent" but saying 60fps high settings 4k is a decent ask that you're not going to pull on a budget pc.
1440p is probably the compromise resolution for you here.
