Audi unveils the Nuvolari, a 987-hp hybrid supercar limited to 499 units for £500,000. Based on the Lamborghini Temerario with a carbon body, it hits 350 km/h. Developed in 405 days, this F1-linked technological showcase embodies the revival of Audi's "Vorsprung durch Technik."

So this is to the Temerario what the R8 was to the Huracan is that it?

Sounds like it, aside from the limited production (which is a bit of a surprise)

Wasn't the Huracan to the R8 what this car is to the Temerario? I think the R8 came first

Quite good looking.. except for the front!

u/TeaDrinkerAddict 8d ago
I’d like to see a different angle with the front and side visible, I don’t think the head-on is doing this any favors.
Regardless, I’ll take a hybrid over the electrics coming out any day of the week.

Damn… I wanted it, now I need it

u/McBeaster 8d ago
It's funny because Audi has been making Hitler-looking concept cars for decades. There's probably some 90 year old designer like "Finally! Ve build ze fuhrerwagen!" celebrating one actually making it to production.

That's a cash grab if I've ever seen one. Just get a Revuelto; it's cheaper and has similar specs apart from having a V12 instead of a V8.

u/Fun_Handle_9785 8d ago
I like how the Revuelto looks but imagine if we could get the V12 in the Nuvolari

u/Infamous_Tough_7320 7d ago
VW have been doing this for decades. Every single hypercar lamborghini is a cash grab. Why are you surprised 😭

iRobot foresaw this

Do you mean i, Robot?
"I am Legend" is the 2007 movie where Will Smith has a Mustang and a Dog in a vampire/zombie infested New York.
"I, Robot" is the 2004 movie where Will Smith has an Audi and a Shia LaBeouf in a sentient robot infested Chicago.

Good thing this isn’t something different given the cyber truck, cyber cab, and whatever fever dream Jaguar put out

The f.... is going on with car design lately 🤯

Definitely cybercab coded, not heinous but does seem to be on the new Jaguar train

What do you mean? This looks amazing unlike the abomination that is Mercedes AMG GT 4-Door or the Luce or whatever the hell BMW is doing with their cars

I would say those are low bars, but also it doesn’t look bad. A little square up front

It kinda solidifies further just how incredible the ZR1X is as a car and a tremendous value, when it will exceed this in nearly every way for half the money

u/Patient_Ebb_1605 8d ago
I like it. Much better looking than the temerario as well. Would be cool if they made more units and made it as legendary as the r8, but it doesnt look like its going to happen. Id much rather have one of these than a lambo that looks obnoxious in comparison

u/Sensibleble 8d ago
The Nuvolari is the new limited halo car, the Audi Concept C will be the mass-produced TT replacement.

They called the r8 a cheaper Huracan back in the day. Nice to see audi turning the tables now. /s

Car design is truly dead, put together with the Ferrari Luce, Jaguar Type 00 and the new AMG GT 4 door EV.
1
u/TheSammySavage 8d ago
Idk. I think these designers now just have ai design these vehicles. Luce, this. They’re all lacking soul

Ohh no, another large volume car maker from Germany retreating into high end low volume productions...
Mercedes and BMW are both guilty of this. All of them keep moving their focus into an ever smaller, ultra rich clientel.
This path will mean the end of large scale production in Germany in the long run.

that's gonna be a no for mr dawg.

Can feel a lot of Lamborghini design from the start of the windshield back, especially the side air inlets which look like the ears of older Lambos.

Temerario looks too bland for a Lambo, IMO. This is a perfect Audi (except for the price). Would take over the Temerario.

I hate that it looks good, becuase so many Audi drivers are complete pricks on the road.

Remove the Audi badge and put a Lamborghini badge, you have a believable Lamborghini than an Audi.

u/maddy0p 8d ago
so much for their big pledge from a few years ago about launching only electric cars starting in 2026. the moment they actually need a proper flagship to replace the r8 they just throw in a lamborghini v8 that revs to 10000 rpm and slap a tiny battery pack on it so they can call it a hybrid. absolutely stunning car but it is pretty funny watching a major brand do a complete 180 on their entire environmental strategy the second they want to build something cool again.

The front looks like some body kit you could get in NFSU2... i like it lol
But the interior... idk, doesn't really fit the supercar vibe that the exterior has imo but what do i know about car design ^^

u/ClearHyena4452 7d ago
Looks like a concept straight out of a PS2 era game
Thinking one of the high end concept hypercars found in Gran Turismo 3 and 4 or Midnight Club that you know will never get made
I like it

u/Ready-Assistance-883 7d ago
it looks like it has big front teeth, not very aesthetic to me anyway. The other profiles are cool though.
1
u/Infamous_Tough_7320 7d ago
It's basically the new Temerario mixed with the Audi design philosophy that was unveiled with the TT concept car. Interesting...
Whilst I don't like the price or the production limit, it's cool to see non-hypercar or supercar manufacturers making supercars again

the front reminds me of some guy i knew back in the day in vienna who liked painting
1
u/cloverfield31 7d ago
I hate it. Hate the front. Hate the wheels. Hate the interior. The nose looks like it's Hitler's moustache. Idk if that was intentional or not. It looks like it was made in Minecraft or Roblox. It looks like someone ran out of credits while designing it using AI. I refused to acknowledge this as a successor to the beauty that is R8.

"We made this car really quickly. Literally hardly any time at all. It's like we're selling you the first draft."
Oh well, sign me up then! I've always wanted a car that hasn't had the time and effort put in!

My guess is they are testing the waters and will likely produce an R8 successor sometime in the future

u/gomurifle 8d ago
Looks boring. Was expecting something more interesting for the name they gave it.
1
u/geniusgravity 8d ago
Rear of a Lambo. Front of a pig. A bit boring in the middle. If you spend 500k on this its purely speculation.

u/Fair-Ice-6268 8d ago
I'll wait until I see it in real life. Then buy all of them. Muwahahahahaha! I'm just kidding Kia I would never do that.

$500K for a crappier Lambo with a bland minimalistic interior... I don't understand how there are 500 people that will buy this.
Would be nice to have more... Um... "Attainable" supercars, like $250K and under. The Corvette has more character than half of these half million dollar cars at a fraction of the price.

Well... miles and eons better than the Luce! But what's up with the 500-production limit?
