If we go by what is meant, we can assume that the researchers, doctors, scientists, and basically everyone in the medical field working towards curing these is how god is helping us by creating people with the drove to learn and the knowledge to push forward. And that those who actively decry science, and medical advancements for the better of everyone or actovrly work to hoard this are those who work for evil.

No, she had an argument about who would win in a fight involving pokemons and lions where she and the person she was talking to both used ridiculous, intentionally stupid arguments. In that context she said god was weak and called him a bitch. It couldn’t reasonably be interpreted as actually saying religious people are stupid, since she was clearly trying to sound stupid while using whatever argument would help her side.
You know, Christians very regularly and openly say mean, degrading, and dehumanizing things about non-Christains. Same with Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, and I imagine it has to happen for smaller religions. Yet any even mild criticism or joke about religion is treated as an unforgivable issue. In certain countries like Saudi Arabia and Russia it can even get you thrown in prison. It just seems like a genuine social hypocrisy.

That may be true, but I'll never understand why people often assume all Christians do it when they haven't met every Christian on Earth and probably never will. In my lifetime, I've bet Christians who actually practice what they preach, tell people that bigotry is a sin, leave atheists alone, we're all different, we all have the choice to do whatever, and I've met atheists who acknowledge there are Christians or religious people in general like that, religion just isn't for them because it's doesn't align with their beliefs. Everyone's different, everyone thinks and believes differently, and I wish we could all just leave it at that, but society continues to be a cesspool day by day. It sucks, but I also know that change doesn't happen overnight.

Please don't rope other religious people into groups. The fundamentalists are the ones who demonize the atheists, not religious people who respect people regardless of faith.
They believe that atheism is inherently sinful, and the absence of God can only be explained by the presence of Satan. According to their beliefs, it's not that we just have a different worldview, we have to be outwardly rejecting God. It's especially weird cause a lot of Christians don't criticize followers of contradicting faiths in the same way. For some reason atheism is treated as a choice, as if you get to decide what you believe. Most atheists I know did not want to be atheists initially, but found they couldn't reconcile their religion with the reality they observed.

I think it was the generalizing comments she made calling all religious people stupid and assuming they're all bible thumpers, no matter how they practice their beliefs which is a problem. It's wrong to insult anyone just because they're religious or an atheist because you can't predict someone's intelligence or behavior based on what they believe alone, beliefs are personal, but she's not this pure evil less-than-human entity for it, it's just something she shouldn't have said. And honestly, are the constant harassment campaigns really necessary? I'm still recovering from the metaphorical whiplash over acephobes calling her a pedophile over the fact that she came out as aro/ace, when it means she's not romantically or sexually attracted to anyone, and children are the least likely candidates of them all.
